Conflict is the most natural, predictable issue that arises when we put people together.
When we leave a group of children playing together we will see it arising naturally because of normal insider-outsider behaviour. We never lose this ability to generate conflict as adults but we can become pretty sophisticated in covering up deep underlying conflicts.
However, conflict is necessary and powerful if we ultimately want success. Conflict, if not dealt with, leads to the breakup of relationships, teams and organisations. However people who seek a world of harmony and agreement all the time live in an equally misguided and ultimately unsuccessful world.
